PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The conversion of a 75 year-old warehouse at the Presidio into offices for the Exploratorium. The project included seismic retrofitting, renovations and finishes. Competitively bid; forty (40%) percent over budget. Through value engineering and cooperation with the architect, owner and design professional, the original budget was achieved and the project was allowed to go forward.
